For Christmas 2015 I created a papercraft scene from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for my little brother. It's his favorite Zelda game in the series, and I love the cel shaded visuals in the game. They translated very well to paper. The final piece was 8"x8". Paper, micron, adhesive.
Also for Christmas 2015, I created a papercraft Majora's Mask from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask for my partner. This piece was a bit more difficult to capture on paper because the game is rendered more realistically than Wind Waker, but with the use of water colors I was able to capture some of its depth. The final piece was 8"x8". Paper, water color, adhesive.
For my brother's 20th birthday I sewed him a Midna figure from The legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It was the first Zelda game he played, and the series has become very important to him. This was my first attempt at creating a 3-dimensional pattern. The figure ended up at around 20" tall. Felt, embroidery.
